Join our PTO
Everyone has different skills and strengths they can bring to the Sylvan Parent Teacher Organization. We recognize that everyone has varying amounts of time they can give, and we appreciate all help received.
Please join us for our meetings on the third Thursday of each month, at 6pm in the MPR. We hope to see you there!

Donations and Other Support
You can help support Sylvan STEAM Academy in many ways. Throughout the school year, several teachers and staff might have projects listed on DonorsChoose.org, a website that connects classrooms with those who want to help.
We also accept donations for our electives and Imagination Lab. Please contact the front office to find out our current needs.
Sylvan STEAM Academy is pleased to partner with the Boys & Girls Club of Stanislaus County for our after school program. BGC recognizes the need for positive role models and the impact that this has within our community. Our mission is to inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive and responsible members of the community. It is imperative that we teach our children of today these great qualities, as they will soon be our leaders of tomorrow. With your partnership, we will be able to change the lives of countless youth in our community.
Our after school program runs Monday through Friday, 2:45pm -- 6:00pm. Our daily schedule includes, but is not limited to:
* Snack * Literacy Tutoring
* Homework Help . *Enrichment Activities
At Sylvan STEAM Academy, we believe in the importance of reading with your child, starting at an early age.
Stanislaus READS! is a countywide program that aims to have more students reading at grade level by the end of third grade. In partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, children 0-4 in the 95355 zip code are eligible to receive a FREE book in the mail each month until their fifth birthday. For more information, contact the front office at 574-5600 or email our Imagination Library champion, Carrie Munroe, at
StanREADS! also donated and helps maintain the Little Free Library on East Rumble Road, located in the parking lot by the Head Start building. This free take-a-book, leave-a-book spot allows Sylvan STEAM students and neighborhood children access to books year-round. Have books to donate? Feel free to add them to the Little Free Library, or drop off in the front office.
